ALTEK Plastic Injection Molding

Every plastic injection mold project includes a rigorous review process, including part and mold design reviews, mold testing, and first article inspection.

You’ll also benefit from ALTEK’s complete tool maintenance and repair, in-house tool modifications, and offshore partnerships.

ALTEK’s ability to manufacture precision, close-tolerance parts has made us a supplier of choice for high-tech industries. This achievement requires the most modern equipment available, including a variety of injection molding presses ranging from 28 to 1500 tons; assisted by robotics, automated delivery systems, and gravimetric color incorporation feeders. ALTEK produces a wide range of small, medium and large parts, and is capable of handling both low and fully automated high volume product lines. Our team is highly experienced in working with a wide range of thermoplastic, elastomeric, and filled resins and is committed to meeting your quality requirements while ensuring on-time deliveries.

We have fully-automated high-volume production capabilities including generic and custom injection molding automation and fully automated bulk material handling systems.

Our team is highly experienced in working with a wide range of thermoplastics, elastomeric, and filled resins, and committed to meeting your quality requirements while ensuring critical on-time deliveries.

Film Insert Injection Molding

With film insert molding is the fusion of thin film appliqué to a hard plastic substrate for a long lasting seamless appearance. Film insert molding also allows for unique design elements such as backlighting, scratch resistance, and multi-color aesthetics.

Gas Assist Molding

Gas assist injection molding eliminates the need for structural foam molding. It allows for thick –wall structural molding without sink; eliminating the heavy expense of structural foam prep, paint and finishing. One-piece hollow handles are another great application. Gas pressurizes the cavity from the inside, allowing for a lighter, better looking end product without sacrificing strength. -Other benefits of gas assist injection molding include:
  • Eliminating potato chip effect on thin parts
  • Smoother outer wall at intersections and the elimination of ridges
  • Greater freedom of mechanical design
  • Lower clamping tonnage and injection pressure
  • Cycle time reduction
  • Reduced secondary operations
