Position Openings

  • Custodian
    Custodians are responsible for maintaining the Altek facility to a high standard of appearance and function, and are responsible for ordering janitorial supplies while being cost effective. Must be professional and flexible as duties and hours can change quickly. Must maintain an excellent safety and attendance record. ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to lift 25 lbs. • Ability to stand on feet all day or walk for long hours • Able to work with strong chemicals • High school diploma or GED • Certified forklift driver (or ability to obtain Altek license)
  • Machine Operator - Mold Shop - Part Time/Full Time
    Machine Operators tend and/or operate a variety of plastic molding machines in the plastic injection mold department. High School Diploma or GED required. Position requires dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods. Positions start as part-time (up to 32 hrs./week) with conversion to full-time possible as sustainable positions become available.   • Warehouse Worker/Driver
    Altek's Warehouse Worker/Driver is responsible for pulling, preparing, and labeling all daily orders. Ensures that all orders pulled match the exact quantity, lot number and are from the correct location as indicated on the pick-list. Provides shipping assistance as needed. Responsible for moving product from one location to another as needed. Maintains a neat and clean work environment. Transports and delivers local customer orders. Ensures loads are stacked or palletized in accordance with prescribed storage methods, considering such factors as size, weight, quantity and safety. Insures that all shipments are correctly labeled, packed, or created. Checks all orders against documentation to verify box count and quantity. Picks up local will calls in the surrounding area. Responsible for the general maintenance of company vehicles. ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or GED  6 months warehouse experience  Strong verbal and written communications skills  Computer literate  Basic mathematical skills  One year or longer, prior experience driving vehicles that are 1 ½ tons or larger  Able to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements  Fork lift driving experience preferred  Possession of a valid Driver’s License  No traffic violations in the past 3 years
