CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC LATHE MACHINIST

Salary Range $25 to $30 Hourly

Rate of Pay DOE

Liberty Lake, WA, US

Responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, Set-ups of prototype and established processes. Responsible for meeting cycle times of those processes in the machine shop.  Should have knowledge of, and be responsible for supporting lean manufacturing principles and teamwork throughout the company. Act as a positive role model in accordance with Altek's desired behaviors. Work with a sense of urgency to promote on time delivery and adhere to the goals and expectations as defined by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • CNC Machining Certificate preferred 

  • Minimum of 7+ years in CNC Lathe setup and machining

  • Knowledge and skills to pre-stage raw material, perform set-up on proven and prototype parts, conduct tool changes, run product and make tool off-sets.

  • Knowledge of blue print reading and a working knowledge of Geometric tolerancing and calculating

  • Knowledge of mathematical formulas needed to calculate product dimensioning

  • Knowledge and skill with all portable measuring devices used in the production processes here at Altek

  • Must be able to read work instructions, quality documents, and other pertinent written material. 

  • Must have a reasonably complete set of personal tools to perform setups

MACHINE OPERATOR - GRAVEYARD SHIFT

Salary $18.75 hourly

Liberty Lake, WA, US

The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of a variety of plastic molding machines. This role will handle and remove machine parts as needed, inspect for conformance to quality standards, perform value-added processes when necessary, and record data and package part(s) for shipment or next step in manufacturing process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires dexterity 

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Some experience with hand tools and power tools

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • Intermediate reading, verbal and written vocabulary skills.

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Ability to pass Visual Aids Training test for recognizing molded plastic part flaws

  • Possess excellent reading and math skills and demonstrate intermediate computer skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees in a team environment.

  • Exhibit positive communication and behavior skills. 

  • Maintain high level of quality output while operating as to team ensuring adherence to  company’s clearly defined policies and procedures

  • Self-motivated and provide team support and assistance other machine operators

  • Possess the traits necessary to learn and promote working in an environment that allows individuals to thrive and grow within the company

Mold Maintenance Mechanic

MOLD MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Salary Range $22 to $28 Hourly

Rate of Pay is DOE

Liberty Lake, WA, US

 The Mold Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the routine maintenance, disassembly and cleaning, minor adjustments/improvements, and preventative maintenance of all Injection Molding Tools.  This position requires a high degree of mechanical comprehension combined with a winning attitude.  Although experience is appreciated, we will train the right person!

 

Mechanics include manifolds, heater coils, gaskets, bearing slides, structural members, pneumatic valves, hydraulic cylinders, electrical switches, controllers, safety technology, TIG welding, machining, surface contouring, etc. On-the-job training available.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Strong mechanical background.

  • Excellent reading and math skills.

  • Effective communicator both written and verbal.

  • Excellent team player with well-developed positive behaviors.
