MACHINE CO-OP
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Altek is expanding its in-house training programs for both internal teams and external partners to close skill gaps, strengthen technical capabilities, and support future production demands. Efforts include advanced training in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Vernier measuring tools and calibration, and Cartesian coordinate systems, with continued growth planned.

Building on this foundation, Altek launched a Machining Co-Op Internship Program that welcomes Spokane Community College (SCC) students in their final quarter for immersive, end-to-end manufacturing experience. This initiative deepens our partnership with SCC while creating a clear pathway to identify, develop, and retain future talent, marking an important first step toward the vision of Altek University.

Overseeing this program is Altek’s Machine Shop Manager, Jeremy Slack, a former instructor at SCC, alongside his leadership team: Devonna Azevedo, Don Kimberly, and Jess Nevling.

Altek is committed to excellence and continuous team development, strengthening its workforce while contributing to the future of the industry.
