The Quoting & NPI Engineer serves as the technical bridge between program managers, manufacturing, quality and supply chain functions. This role is responsible for evaluating customer requirements, developing accurate cost estimates and quotations, assessing manufacturability and leading the successful introduction of new products into production. The position plays a critical role in ensuring customer expectations, quality requirements, cost targets, and delivery objectives are achieved from quotation through production launch.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.

• 3-7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, cost estimating, quotation management, NPI, or related roles. 

• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, precision machining, electronics manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred. 

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements. 

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, cost estimation, and manufacturing processes.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly and injection molding.

• Ability to perform cost analysis and develop accurate manufacturing estimates. 

• Proficiency with CAD software and technical documentation. 

• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or other applicable quality management systems. 

• Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and APQP methodologies. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

The CMM Programmer/Inspector is responsible for programming and operating CMM (PC-DMIS) systems to perform accurate inspections, including conducting inspections using the surface plate, completing AS9102 First Article (FA) forms, and performing both in-process and final inspections to verify dimensions, cosmetic specifications, part counts, and packaging to ensure adherence to quality standards.
