The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely reporting for a manufacturing facility. This role supports month-end close, cost accounting, inventory controls, fixed assets, financial analysis, and compliance with GAAP. The Senior Accountant works closely with operations, purchasing, production, and leadership to support profitability and sound financial decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred).

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.

• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.

• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

The CNC Mill Machinist is responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, meeting cycle times, promoting on time delivery through their performance efforts, demonstrating knowledge and application of lean manufacturing, promoting teamwork through their behavior, acting in accordance with Altek's Policies and adhering to the goals and expectations as defined by management.  Position is for Swing Shift, which consists of four 10-hour shifts, paid breaks and a $1/hr shift differential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED

• CNC Machining Certificate preferred

• Minimum of 7 years in CNC Mill setup and machining

• Experience with various machine tool controls (G-M Codes & Mazatrol a plus)

• Quality-conscious attitude and pride of ownership in designated responsibilities

• Working knowledge of GD&T and calculating 

•  Working knowledge of mathematical formulas needed to calculate product dimensioning

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to accurately read blueprints 

• Skilled with portable measuring devices used in the production processes at Altek

• Must be able to read and comply with work instructions, quality documents, and other pertinent written material

Basic set-ups from an established processes and meeting cycle times of those processes in the machine shop. Should have knowledge of, and be responsible for supporting lean manufacturing principles and teamwork throughout the company. Act as a positive role model in accordance with Altek's desired behaviors. Work with a sense of urgency to promote on time delivery and adhere to the goals and expectations as defined by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-years’ experience or equivalent with set-up and operation of CNC milling machines, preferably, but not limited, to Fadals or Mazak Vertical Mills with A Axis and multiple vise set-ups

• Proficient in the use of Inspection equipment

• Able to read and interpret blueprints, also but not limited to GDT

• Associate Degree in Machining preferred, but minimum of High School Degree or GED required

• Quality conscious attitude and pride of workmanship with designated responsibilities

• Possess comprehensive reading skills

• Able to communicate effectively in written and oral communication with co-workers and supervisors

• Ability to build and maintain positive rapport with other Altek employees

• Exhibit positive communication and behavior skills

• Able to adapt and modify to situational changes

• Ability to manage workload and changing priorities
